Drinking Water Treatment
High-Rate Clarification for Potable Water
Plate settlers provide compact, reliable clarification in drinking water plants — removing turbidity, natural organic matter and precipitated solids ahead of filtration and disinfection.
Drinking Water Treatment
Drinking water treatment typically follows a coagulation – flocculation – clarification – filtration – disinfection sequence. The clarification stage removes the bulk of turbidity and coagulated natural organic matter so that filters and disinfection operate efficiently.
Plate settlers deliver this clarification at high rate and in a small footprint, making them well suited to plant upgrades, constrained sites, and package potable plants. With properly optimized coagulation, plate settler effluent turbidity is routinely below 1–2 NTU.
For potable duty, stainless-steel construction provides the durability and hygienic surface finish appropriate to drinking water contact.
Key Benefits
Low Turbidity
Effluent below 1–2 NTU with optimized coagulation, protecting downstream filters.
Compact Upgrade
Add or expand clarification capacity without large new basins.
Hygienic Stainless Steel
Durable SS 304/316L construction suited to potable water contact.
