The Challenge
Dewatering and tunnelling generated large volumes of silty water that exceeded turbidity limits for discharge to surface water. The need was temporary, for the duration of the project.
Buying permanent equipment was not justified, and the site required fast mobilisation with minimal setup.
The R+F Solution
R+F deployed a rental PSR plate settler with polymer dosing to aggregate the fine silt. The skid-mounted unit was mobilised quickly and commissioned on site.
Clarified water met discharge turbidity limits; settled silt was collected for disposal. At project end the unit was demobilised and returned.
